Attendees will work through a shadow AI situation as it unfolds in real time. A routine customer questionnaire forces someone to check the logs. What comes back isn’t one employee, it’s dozens, across free-tier ChatGPT, Gemini, and DeepSeek. Legal opens a door nobody knew was there. Insurance starts asking questions about trade secret status. And somewhere in the middle of all of it, a journalist is already asking for comment.
This is not a technical response exercise. It’s a leadership one.
What makes shadow AI uniquely difficult is not the technology. It’s that you can’t un-paste a trade secret, and every person in the chain, from the engineer who thought they were being efficient to the executive whose name goes on the filing, was acting on incomplete information. Acting without certainty. Protecting the company’s secrets and the employee who never meant harm. Holding trust together when your board, your customers, and your own name are on the line.
Participants will leave with a clearer picture of how shadow AI incidents actually unfold, where cross-functional response tends to break down, and what decisive leadership looks like when trust, reputation, and personal accountability all land on your desk at once.
