** Supply Chain Attack Exposes Critical Vulnerabilities
------------------------------------------------------------
A recent npm attack shows how quickly malicious code spreads through interconnected systems. In just two hours, a compromised developer account allowed attackers to publish malicious versions of popular packages, reaching 1 in 10 cloud environments. While the cryptocurrency theft attempt failed, it created industry-wide chaos as teams scrambled to assess exposure. With 99% of cloud environments containing targeted packages, this brief compromise demonstrates the enormous blast radius potential of supply chain attacks.
